About New Jersey Wool Walk
What is the NJWW?
The New Jersey Wool Walk is an inclusive celebration of fiber lovers and needle crafters.

During this yearly event, participating local yarn stores offer special events, discounts, designer appearances, book signings, and trunk shows. 

How to Wool Walk?
  • The 2026 NJWW begins on Wednesday, April 22nd and ends on Sunday, April 26th; five days of shopping and celebration!
  • Wool Walkers purchase a passport for $6 to take part in the NJWW and to be eligible for store discounts.
  • Passports are purchased in-person at any participating LYS.
  • $1.00 from each passport benefits the Community Food Bank of NJ.
  • Get your Passport stamped by each store you visit during the walk. (No purchase is necessary to have your passport stamped however you must be there IN PERSON to have your OWN passport stamped)
  • See the list of 2026 Stores and click here for individual extended store hours.
  • To create a travel plan, click on the Map tab and pick the stores you would like to visit. Click on their individual websites for additional store information. 
  • When you are finished wool walking, turn in your  stamped passport! Your passport will be used as your entry to our prize drawings. The more stores you visit, the more stamps you get, the greater the prize you are eligible to win! See prize info below.
  • You can leave your passport at the last store you visit or if you prefer to mail your passport after the NJWW, please mail by May 1st to: Yarnia, 127 Watchung Ave, Montclair, NJ 07043
  • Special notions are created each year to mark the event. This year, purchase a "Forever Friends" bag tag and join us in celebrating the friendships we make through our love of fiber. (While supplies last!)
  • Also featured is a collectible stitch marker, uniquely colored for each store, costs $3.00 or is FREE with a $35 purchase. (Limited quantities)
  • Both the bag tag and collectible stitch markers are available in limited quantities...aka...while supplies last.  Get them while they are hot​!

Grand Prize: $100 Gift Certificate to a participating store of your choice 
2nd Prize:  $75 Gift Certificate to a participating store of your choice
3rd Prize: $50 Gift Certificate to a participating store of your choice
Door Prizes: Each store will have their own prizes available to win!

How to Enter for prizes above:
For the Grand prize: visit and have your passport stamped at all 17 stores
For the 2nd prize: visit and have your passport stamped at 12 or more stores
For the 3rd prize: visit and have your passport stamped at 6 or more stores
Door prizes: visit and have your passport stamped at 1 or more stores

Winners will be notified after the prize drawing on May 15th.
